About The Whole Bird Briefing

With the Whole Bird Briefing, I hope to stimulate conversation and offer a fresh perspective, one that comes from my years in politics and from my independent, slightly rebellious streak. I am a lifelong Democrat, so I reside on the left wing of the proverbial bird, but I try to understand and take into consideration the perspective and concerns of my friends on the right.

The Whole Bird Briefing focuses on American politics—on campaigns and political strategy, sometimes on foreign policy, on the importance of maintaining the strength of our democracy, and on how best to facilitate the representation, protection, and empowerment of those who may not always get the attention or opportunities they need, that we all need. I support effective solutions, even if those solutions sometimes require a more pragmatic, less revolutionary approach. I’m a bit rebellious, but I am not radical.
